about

This is the soundtrack to the never-released film "Children of the Cambion", which would have been the first cinematic exploration of the "Black Eyed Kids" (or "B.E.K.s") urban legend.

Nico and Lexie try to rekindle their failing relationship by returning to their roots; a ghost hunt in the forests of Cannock Chase. One bone-chilling encounter with some mysterious and sinister black-eyed children later, Lexie is missing and Nico is potentially a murder suspect. He enlists the help of enigmatic Russian émigré and occult expert Ruscara Laudanski; together they begin a terrifying journey that takes them to the heart of the mystery of the Black Eyed Kids (B.E.K.s) as an undeniable attraction between the pair grows. Can they find Lexie? Will Ruscara's risky but well-intentioned intervention somehow transform a small, personal tragedy into a much wider catastrophe of potentially epidemic proportions?

All compositions devised and executed by Kish Kollektiv, apart from "Open Mic Night at the Four Crosses Inn" and "Ruscara's Lament", both of which feature elements of the traditional Scottish folk song "The Parting Glass".

Ruscara's monologues on "Katyn Forest 1979" and "We Share Our World with Non-Human Others" were given voice by Alyssa Penchanski, who also performed various sinister child-like vocalisations throughout the album.

Vocals and guitar on "Open Mic Night at the Four Crosses Inn" were performed by Michele Sarto (as "Nico").

The recordings of fox screams and badger growls on "2am at Tyburn Gully" were kindly provided by Leonardo Nero.
